Josef Fritzl

Not only does this monster still breath but in a recent WOmans magazine I read that heis writing his life story and expected to make billions of dollars from it.
Apparently there is nothing the law can do to prevent him becoming wealthy from the profits of the sale of his book.
It irks me that a monster like this even though he will never see the outside of a prison again (one would hope never) can make millions from their crime.

It seems like we punish with one hand and let them reap the rewards wtih another.
Wouldnt it be nice that once his book is published the law could order all profits from the sale go to his daughter and her children.

Here goe's I know this will offend someone I DONT apologise.

I have been checking the shout box off and on the past few days and am astonished at the comments made regarding your next president. Who I hope is Barack Obama, but not for me to decide it is your country.
However the post that really got to me was simply stated muslim for American president??? Thats crazy!!!
Thats statement alone is PREJUDICE at it's fullest.
Lets just stop here a moment and list some famous Americans that are Muslim, Mike Tyson, Shaquille O'neil, Keith Ellison US congressmen from Minnesota, Dr Robert D Crane Former Foreign Policy advisor, Author, C Jack Ellis former mayor of Macon GA, Malcolm X Human rights leader, Jermaine Jackson, Muhammid Ali boxer, Art Blakey, Dave Schappelle, Akon, Lewis Arquette, film actor, writer and producer Currently, there are an estimated 1.4 billion Muslims, making it the second largest religion in the world. Check out the pie chart at the bottom of the blog you may be surprised.

I then was talking to a black american at a game site I use. I asked him what he thought of the upcoming elections and as most say he wishes it was over and is sick of the constant advertising. But he also said he would like Obama as president. I wasn't surprised but I asked him why and his response was, because he is fair! I then said what about the fact he is moslem, he said he didnt give a rats arse about what his religious preferances were he just felt he could do a good job as president but felt that because Obama is black he wont get in. At this stage a few others come to watch our game only to end up joining in the conversation. Most of them black american but a couple of white americans as well, (I refer to them as black/white americans as this is how they referred to themselves)
I suggested a black, gay female moslem run as president. I got a good laugh from them and told that they loved my sense of humour, but I wasn't joking. Surprisingly enough it was the white American that said everyone would have kittens if they had a female with my criteria run as president. Back to the original conversation with my gaming partner though..Just to note Obama is his second preference, his first was poor old hillary. Simply because she is female and he felt she would have a different and possibly better slant on running the country. He may be correct we will never know now.

But back to the reason for this blog entry and my questions for anyone who has read this far and chooses to answer them.

So what if they are muslim or any other religion, so what if they are black, white, yellow or any colour you can imagine. Isnt it better to have someone who has a brain and is able to bring your country forward better than someone who sits with a sickly smile on their pug like face and does nothing to better your country?

Why is it ok to be prejudice against a person because of their religion? Why is it ok to be prejudice against a religion?
Why be prejudiced against anything, everyone, doesn't everything/everyone have it's/their own right to exist and believe what they want to believe?

Don't blame the religion look for the cause!!!!!!!!!!

No Undies Sundie

And I was going to be there at opening.

A Melbourne pub is reportedly being investigated after promoting an event promising $50 worth of free drinks to women who take off their underwear and hang them on the bar.

The Saint Hotel in St Kilda is also offering its female customers one free drink if they "flash" bar staff, the Herald Sun reports. "No Undie Sundie", which is scheduled for this Sunday, has incurred the wrath of authorities.

"On the face of it, it looks like an inappropriate liquor promotion and we will be investigating with a view to banning it," Liquor Licensing Victoria director Sue Maclellan was quoted as saying.

Port Phillip mayor Janet Cribbes has also slammed the event, saying it "fuels the fire for irresponsible drinking" and puts young women at risk of sexual assault.

Editorial director of the Australian Women’s Weekly Deborah Thomas told the Nine Network’s TODAY show she hoped no women turned up to the event.

"It's like, 'Come on down, flash your undies and we will get you totally pissed.' What is going on here?" she said.

An ad for the event — which reportedly featured an infamous picture of Britney Spears exposing too much of herself while stepping out of a car — also sparked complaints.

The ad has since been removed from the website of the event’s promoters, Birdhouse Promotions.

How is this for coincedence

Reading an article in the local newspaper I saw a small clip called "When A Step parent is not a step parent".

This got me curious so I proceeded to read the article.

Sydney A couple met and fell in love. She has a 15 year old daughter from a previous relationship that she told her new husband ended just after the baby was born.
Unfortunately or fortunately whichever way you look at it the girl became ill and needed medical help. With the "natural father un contactable the step father volunteered to be tested to see if he could donate to his step daughter.
The results came back and certainly he could donate, so much so that the Dr's asked if he was the step father or the natural father. His reply of course was Step father. The Dr confused requested they re test the stepfather.
Results back in the step father was far more than a perfect match, in fact he WAS the natural father.
It turns out the child was conceived from a drunken one night stand with both going seperate ways after the deed was done and neither of them knew each others names nor remembered each other.

The fair

I just loved the decoration on this Merry Go Round..

If only I didnt get sick going in circles lol

This child was so adorable I couldnt help take pics of her. We kept bumping into one another about the place.

Here she is ( I cant remember her name) Loving the train and the pic being taken.
This little girl just got my attention. She bounced over to me with a funny little walk and said "Do I dance pretty?" then sat herself down beside me and showed me her little treasures and said mummy bought.. Her mother started to chat away and told me she had been saving for 2 years to take the child to the fair. The usual story dad doesnt want to know her etc. But the little girl didnt see my scars like most children do, she just threw her little arms around my neck and gave me a hug as she skipped off for the train ride.

Dog Theif

As I have had the Dr call in during the night the last few nights I have kept my purse on my bed. I should have placed it on my dresser but with the headaches and other pain it was much easier resting on the bed beside me.
The Dr's house calls are basically free, they are covered by medicare but they need to sight the medicare card each visit.

Anyway I was getting ready to head in and see my regular GP this afternoon and sitting on the bed with me my little dog Max.
I heard him busy himself and assumed it was with one of his toys.
I finished applying the lipstick and reached around to grab my purse to feel it slightly wet (yuck) and as I did Max jumped off of my bed with something in his mouth.

I alerted Cassie who headed him off at the back door. When he stopped snarling at her she was able to retrieve the $5 note from his mouth he had stolen from my purse.

Now to get him through the doors at the local bank!!!

Worms and such

Iggys blog on worms reminded me of Esch helping me weed the front yard a couple of weeks ago.

I came across some of these furry caterpillars whilst pulling weeds, picked one up and showed Esch, she was quite happy to run a finger along the hairs on them but wouldn't take one from me. So I threw it onto the road and next thing a maggie swooped down and the caterpillar became lunch. Esch loved this so much she decided to look for more. So my weeding became bird feeding.

Having almost depleted the front yard of the pesty caterpillars and weeds I come across a very fat earth worm and called Esch across, asking her to hold out her hand she did so until she saw what I was about to give her. Then she yelled at me Maggies grandbum (her new nickname for me) I took several minutes explaining we dont want to use the worms as feed we put them in the plants. SO then the hunt was on for furry's and worms, with me not finishing the weeding and the birds having a great feed and several large worms placed neatly in my plant pots.

More injections

I have been absent the past few days because of pain and a bacterial infection in my throat.
My neck has swollen up quite big and my throat feels like it has been burned all the way down. Unable to swallow properly I am just letting the fluid run down on it's own.
On Tuesday I was given a shot of morphine in the backside and again wednesday night followed this time by 2 Temazapan tablets. I slept quite well.

I am currently waiting on a decision by my dr wether to give me another morphone shot or wether to admit me into hospital. Just the place I want to revisit. Oh well at least I know people there lol.

Either way I am off tomorrow morning for a fastig blood test. I am not sure how I will manage it with having to take fluids in constantly.

I guess if you dont see me online you will know he decided to admit me.

Have fun all

Scary Pics

After playing around on these blog sites and unable to sleep again I decided to fiddle with some boxes of old photo's. There was a huge mix of wedding pics and baby photos as well as a lot of school pictures.
I picked up one and looked at it wondering what I was doing with it when all of a sudden I vaguely recognised one of the people sitting there staring back at me.
I looked closer then put the glasses on and had a closer look. OMG there she was sitting there staring back at me. A geeky 14 year old girl. Hands placed primly on her lap, looking like she was ready to run.
I have always hated my picture being taken and I think this old school photo shows it. To think 5 years after this was taken I was married. Now I fully realise exactly how young and naive I was.

Anyway on closer examination I found this pic in with all the others.
Now no 14 year old girl goes through school without the man (boy) of her dreams and here he is. (What was I thinking) LOL

My Granddaughter

Introducing my son Geoff's daughter Madison, proudly modelling a black and white zebra stripe top purchased from the secret grandma's only cool clothes store. (Hehehe I wont tell them where I shop for the girls clothes) She is 2 and half now and at that VERY cheeky stage. She looks very much like Greg (my ex hubby) at the same age. I would love to post a pic of Esch but Cassie wont allow any pics of her online :-(

Dont forget to click on my Aussie Lingo link -----> there if you want to see some of Australia :-)

Riverdance
