I am enjoying the time on my own but also miss company around me. I know there are a lot of questions but for the moment I want to lick my wounds and not have to answer any. Greg was here for a few days but had to head back home for work and Geoff pops in often as does Cassie and the little ones. Kirsten is off doing her own thing travelling about she is in Europe at the moment and loving it. I have a feeling she may settle somewhere over there. The grandkids are beutiful noisy but beautiful. Speaking of grandkids I have Escher for the weekend so I best get of of here and do some shopping for her fav foods.
Have a wonderful Christmas everyone. Miss you allAusgrlhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02783333557016310796noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4035203955048554330.post-22913170721852656212010-11-18T06:01:00.000-08:002010-11-18T06:12:35.287-08:00Baby poop and lots of crying lolWell Aaron and Joshua arrived on the 23rd of August safe and sound by c-section much to Cassie's happiness 5lb 4 and 6lb 2 I can't remember which was which now. Cassie had a little trouble with bleeding afterwards but settled down quickly. She adjusted well to having two new bundles to look after and surprisingly manages breast feeding well although both boys are also bottle fed. Hungry little piggys always eating. Escher is over the moon with them but comes to stay with Grandma and Gramps for what she calls her "Peace and Quiet time" usually every weekend. I am at Cassies 3 days a week to help her out and she has weekends (Friday - Sunday) just her and the boys so she is coping quite well. The boys are quiet and rarely make a noise, both sleep well and both very healthy. When they are here there are times we forget they are in the house. Both full of smiles and giggles and love to look at the big mirror on the wall so are usually propped in front of it. They are very funny to watch as they tend to fall asleep cuddling one another and really don't like being seperated at too much of a distance from one another.

I hope you are all well and happy and Happy Thanksgiving to all who are about to celebrate it. If I dont get on here before hand have a wonderful christmas and New year as well. I think of you all often and miss you all very much.

Love always MandyAusgrlhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02783333557016310796noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4035203955048554330.post-87626745544425412792010-07-17T19:55:00.000-07:002010-07-17T19:58:48.957-07:00Twins arrivingTwin boys Aaron and ? will arrive on the 23rd August by C-section.. Cassie is doing really well. Escher a little dissapointed there are no girls arriving but excited to be getting brothers.
They have their opwn place now and are moving in at the end of the month. A 45 minute drive away :-(
I am going to miss Escher so much when they move but she will be here often and Cassie is staying awhile until she gets into a routine with babys and over the c section.

I hope everyone is doing well I miss you all.

MandyAusgrlhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02783333557016310796noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4035203955048554330.post-27048549737410049062010-04-19T18:55:00.000-07:002010-04-19T18:56:10.729-07:00Thankyou Alice for letting me know about the chat rooms closing.. His name is Jeremy he is an American who has lived here for many years and we got married in January, he still works for me but without pay lol he now has a job full time during the week working for a sound and lighting stage company. I dont know much about it except we get tickets to some good shows on occasion.
Cassie and twins are doing well she is huge and gets quite a few strange looks when she tells people how far along she is.

Anyway thats my news ALL of it now. I kept this to myself as there were some people I wanted to tell in email first.Ausgrlhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02783333557016310796noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4035203955048554330.post-60965272936973510972010-01-31T16:52:00.000-08:002010-01-31T17:06:25.075-08:00OMGCassie had some pain and they decided to keep her overnight in hospital and do a full scan the next day, they suspected a possible ectopic pregnancy. Everything is fine and Cassie she was allowed home after the scan results were done.

However the Scan showed that there are definately TWO baby's. Both heartbeats aree strong and healthy. Cassie not a happy person at the moment LOL Grandma in shock and wondering where they are all going to sleep and OMG those sleepless nights and poopy nappys.

Escher at first was happy with the news of a new baby and then she thought about all that would change and decided she didn' want another so she is NOT happy at all with the idea of twins. She wont go near Cassie and Cassie has tried to get her to talk to the baby's but she just says she will spit on them LOL (and she will if not watched carefully).
So it is going to be a long slow process getting Escher to accept the coming changes.

We took her to a baby store in the hope that she might get a little excited but she was only interested in asking when we were going to leave.

I am off to Hawaii in January and will explain all when I can catch you all in chat room I have been in a few times but noone in either of them. I am thinking we MAY leave a little earlier and take Cassie, Escher and the twins to Disneyland in the new year so maybe as it gets closer and if I am able to get the free time it might be incentive to make Escher feel better about the new arivals. Not sure on the long flight with twins however.
Anyway thats the latest catch you all soon I hope.Ausgrlhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02783333557016310796noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4035203955048554330.post-31442298419032761002010-01-10T04:14:00.000-08:002010-01-10T04:22:12.933-08:00Over the shockOk now I am over the shock and have named him Oigle. Baby is due 30th August she is 7 weeks today and outgrowing all her clothes already so we are off in the next couple of weeks for an ultrasound to see if there are 2 babys. Please no.

No idea if it is boy or girl yet but I have a feeling it is a boy.
Will let you all know in 13 weeks.Ausgrlhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02783333557016310796noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4035203955048554330.post-47730073909091905792010-01-06T20:02:00.000-08:002010-01-06T20:04:59.083-08:00NEWSWell I just thought I would pop in and let you all know that Cassie is expecting a baby in July sometime.
Think this one is a boy as she is really hitting the toilet bowl hard every morning afternoon and night.
It was a surprise and it has taken me a few days to get over the anger and shock.
No room here for extas so am house hunting again. Father isnt on the scene.. He come back to spend time with Esch cassie fell pregnant to him and he took off. Silly firl oh well Grandma will cope LOLAusgrlhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02783333557016310796noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4035203955048554330.post-6156518773103588292009-12-14T20:45:00.000-08:002009-12-14T21:04:05.844-08:00MERRY CHRISTMASHi everyone who still wanders by here.
I hope you all have a wonderful christmas and I have been thinking about you all with your snow (I wish we had it here)
Life has been so busy I have completed my funeral celebrants course and as well as weddings I am now doing funerals.
So my weekdays are busy as well as my weekends. My Celebrant mentor Tony tells me it is going to get busier as all the proposals over Christmas and New year then Valentines day will start coming in and sadly all the deaths from suicide caused by depression.
I have been very lucky with the funerals I have been asked to do. I refuse to do childrens funerals as I couldnt handle my own childrens I cant imagine watching a parent go through that and not show emotion, I have only had elderly people who have been expected to pass on so far.
Several wiccan funerals as well which has been wonderful.

Anyway enough of me Escher is growing like a weed and is off to big school in January, she has also taken a liking for RockNRoll Dancing so she is having dancing classes twice a week and Violin lessons on 2 other nights. She asked me for a new Piano on the weekend as some of the keys on mine don't work anymore, so I guess in a few months or so Grandma will be up for a new Piano. She is showing great potential with dance and music but sadly none in singing as yet. Di I mention the sound of a cat screaching??? LOL Cassie has found a boyfriend, quite a nice young man with a decent job in accounting LOL (She said she didnt want anyone at all like her parents) He is great with Escher and is tryingto talk me in to letting him move in here however I have kept a steady no on it as they have only been together 3 or 4 months and I think that they need a little dating time before they settle down to living together as a family, plus not much room I was thinking if they stay together we may have to buy bigger (I just went smaller) oh well it happens I guess.
They have discussed moving into their own place however Escher gets very hysterical at the idea of not living with Grandma and the Dr has suggested that Cassie consider leaving moving out for a year or so. I forgot to mention that Escher started to display signs of severe behaviour problems a few months ago and we have had her to several specialists to find out what the cause could be. She will be sitting quite happily watching TV or playing and the next thing we know she is kicking and screaming and throwing things around the place. My concern was some form of mental disorder or tumor however she has been tested and neither are present. In fact the opposite her IQ is extremely high and the Dr's feel boredom has a lot to do with it, sudden changes tend to upset her so when plans are made now they are made with great care not to let her know until everything is definate and there is no chance of cancelations. Cassie is coping reasonably well with it all but struggles with patience at times.
They feel the important thing is to keep Esch busy as possible with things she likes doing which is why she has 2 nights a week dance and 2 music.

AK if your reading this I hope your sitting down because I have GAINED WEIGHT lol yep I sure have the middle age spread is catching up to me. Holy cow I have hips LOL I have actually gone up 2 dress sizes from a size 8 to a size 12 (not sure what that is over there). My Dr is quite pleased and I am feeling much much better however I dont want to gain anymore.
Still single so the weight gain hasnt helped in the gaining a man department, nor has the heavy workload.

Iggy, AK, Punkn and everyone else Have a great holiday seasonand I hope to catch up with you all soon.

You all are always in my thoughts and love sent your way daily.Ausgrlhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02783333557016310796noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4035203955048554330.post-49456798896572390652009-10-05T08:35:00.000-07:002009-10-05T08:51:45.221-07:00Hi everyone.
Well not sure if anyone checks in here or not anymore but thought I would drop a line anyway.
As usual I have been busy with work and family. It has been an unusually wet and cold winter also but it has been nice just the same. We always welcome rain.
I have popped into the chat rooms occasionally but they all seem to be empty so I ressureected facebook and hopefully cancatch up with many of you there.
Escher is growing so fast and as cheeky as ever. She is doing so well and will have an early entry into "big school" She is now competent with the computer and enjoys playing many games on here which has advanced her with her numbers and reading to a year or so ahead of the others.

I have started buying itunes cards and downloading music, Esch sat on my knee once whilst I did this (Big mistake) later that week I went to download some songs for an upcomng wedding and all my credit was gone. Feeling kinda peeved I emailed itunes with a strong complaint. Then went about organising music onto my little memory stiock for that weekend and my folder seemed ot have grown a little $20 worth of tunes that I didnt buy but Esch had quite happily purchased. Another email to itunes apologising for my previous one and explaining what had happened. I think they got a laugh a week later I received $20 worth of credit on my account.

Cassie is doing well and is looking at returning to study when Esch starts "big school" she has finally decided what she wants to do with her life so a lonnnnnng haul through University with a teachers degree as the target. I hope she sticks with it this time. Kirsten has almost finsihed her final year at school and doing very well, she is now a jarate instructor as well as continuing on with her music and horses and works part time as an assistant at the local vets.

Geoff is plodding along as usual, not working at this stage but has a job in his sights that will have him travelling across Australia in the trains. Hopefully he will apply and get it.

Greg has settled in with a new man in his life and I actually like this one lol. I hope it works for them. I am still single, available but dont have time for fussing about it.

We dont see a lot of each other lately as I am always locked in my office working or out and about doing something.

Summer coming up I have scheduled a few weekends off so we can get some camping in.. I love work but am missing my family and friends, online and offline.Ausgrlhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02783333557016310796noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4035203955048554330.post-83312553039724647982009-05-11T04:38:00.000-07:002009-05-11T05:08:06.553-07:00Mothers Day Mandy styleHappy Mothers day to all Mothers out there and Dads that are mums as well.

I am not one for celebrating days like Mothers Day, Fathers Day. Not because I feel that they dont deserve the attention ( am a mum several times over myself) but because I dont like all of the advertising hype over it.
This year they wre advertising items into the thousands of dollars price range with the Slogan Mum wont be happy unless.

This gave me the reason to sit my children down and explain to them why I wanted a $$$ free Mothers day.
When I explained I wasnt going to be happy with money spent on me they looked at me and were quite upset at the thought of not being able to show or express the Mothers Day sentiments by buying me items.
This in turn upset me, I felt I had taught them well about advertising tricks and ploys to get you to spend as much as possible. They argued it was because they wanted to not because of advertising.
So I argued back that seeing it was Mothers Day and they wanted to make me happy wouldnt knowing what I wanted make it easier for them?

Eventually they understood and my Mothers Day became one where no money was spent on gifts.

Escher made me the most beautiful card I have ever received. After having her tell me what the picture she so carefully drew depicted I placed it in my special box with her watching. She swelled with pride that it went in and the happiness in her eyes helped make my day.
Cassie received the same from Esch a beautiful picture hand drawn for her to treasure.

As there are two Mums living in the house we shared the cooking and tidying for mothers day luncheon, usually Cassie cooks and does the dishes these days so it was a nice treat for her to be able to share the chores.. I picked my mother up and bought her over for the afternoon. Esch presented her with another card she had made and it made great nanna's day.

After we ate, we piled into the car and went for a drive. I headed out into the country area along The Great Ocean Road (It took 16years to build) and we had a wonderful time stopping at different stalls, buying fresh fruit and veg from the orchards and tasted a few wines from wine growers.

Late afternoon we stopped at a little coffee shop that was tucked away in the middle of no where and had devonshire tea.

We stopped for a pub meal on the way home when it became evident we werent going to make it at a reasonable hour to be cooking.

We arrived back home late evening exhausted, but it was one of the most wonderful Mothers Day's I have spent.

Everything was spur of the moment, We had no time frame, we just took it easy and relaxed and went with the flow.Ausgrlhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02783333557016310796noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4035203955048554330.post-15164510788412019252009-05-11T01:42:00.000-07:002009-05-11T02:26:36.540-07:00Smelling the roses, whiny voices and old friends.Today I decided to take some time out to stop and relax a little.
I picked Esch up from daycare and deliberatly arrived a little earlier than normal.
Whilst sitting watching the little ones play and fight lol.. I heard a familiar voice and name.
Looking up I saw a woman around my age with her daughter and grandson talking to the staff.
I waited until they finished and walked over with the "don't I know you from somewhere" line.

It turns out we were at school together. She moved interstate after she got married and has only just returned to Melbourne after a divorce. Stayed with her hubby until the youngest of their children become established and then went their seperate ways.

Anyway with a lot of catching up to do we sat outside in the parking area chatting away. It was the first time both if us had relaxed in quite awhile and nice to catch up.

After awhile we just sat in silence, I guess pondering the conversations we had and enjoying the peace.

Mothers were comming meeting friends chatting, grabbing their kids and leaving. One in particular turned up in a brand new 4wheel drive, heavily pregnant and struggling to get out of her car. Sharon and I watched in silence with fascination. I guess we were both wondering why she would be driving a car she had trouble getting in and out of.

Anyway this woman waddled away from her car only to be stopped by another who was sitting in wait in her car, an old ford that had seen better days, paint peeling and dent marks all around.

Waiting lady waited until waddler got up beside the car and pounced.

"Hello there "WOW" you have a new car.

Waddler replied with plum in mouth "Oh yes we got it about 7 weeks ago" (I guess 7 weeks ago she didnt count on her belly enlarging)

Being a people who respects others privacy we decided to listen in to the conversation.

Apparantly waddling pregnant lady had missed a party at the laying in wait ladys home.

Apologies were made and excuses started to flow, Waddling lady's husband had lost his job 6 weeks ago and with 1 child and another on the way she wasnt thinking straight too much stress etc and totally forgot.

Waiting Lady said she was sorry to hear of the news and offered any help she could give, especially with a new baby on the way. "just call me I will be there" were her words.

Then waddling lady informed her that hubby had gained employment 2 days after his last job ended and was on a higher pay bracket. (should have been no extra worry and stress then right?)

Lady in wait was impressed but didnt seem to pick a contradiciton in there anywhere.
However she did invite Waddler and her family to dinner this comming saturday night.

Then the whiny voice started.
You know the one woman use when they dont really want to be talking to someone.

It kinda went like this. ohhhhhhhhhhh IIIIIII dooooooooont knoooooooowwwwwwww. We have been sooooooo up and dowwwwwwwn since hubby lost his job we arent sure wether we are coming or going. (Doesnt hubby have a new job with more pay????).

Waiting lady said well you have my phone number so give me a call tonight after 8pm and let me know.. we are having a few over so it wont just be us and the kids.

Waddler then remember that she had lost the paper that Waiting ladys number was written on. The real reason she didn't turn up on the last invite.
So numbers were exchanged again.

Whilst this was happening another heavily pregnant lady waddled on over (waddler2)...Stood back politely and patiently waiting for the conversation to end.

Sharon and I looked at one another, burst out laughing, then calmed ourselves down, We missed the goodbyes of waddler and waiter...However we caught part of the conversation with waddler and waddler 2. Funny the whiny voice was gone, she talked with speed and excitement, boasted about how much extra money was coming into the house and that the new car would be paid for in 6 months and then whined about lady in wait made a few nasty comments about her and then waddler and waddler 2 waddled off into the centre to pick up their children who Sharon and I both hope dont turn out to be whiners like their waddling parents.

Both of us felt sad for the waiting lady. She sounded friendly and genuine in her offers of help and invite to dinner. It seemed she just wanted to make friends.

We sat and chatted a little longer wondering if we were ever that way and both agreed that yes we have been. Feeling ashamed of ourselves we decided to wash it down with a couple of drinks at the pub. Cassie and Esch got a ride home With Sharons daughter and grandson and Sharon and I headed to the nearest bar where we sat on a stool leaned on the bar and as you do in a pub listened to more conversations around us.
We have agreed to meet once a week at day care and then head on to the pub afterwards. It seems we both like people watching and listening.

Maybe we will hit the single bars together in a couple of weeks.Ausgrlhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02783333557016310796noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4035203955048554330.post-20713756199766447472009-04-27T08:36:00.000-07:002009-04-27T08:56:13.769-07:00Hi everyoneHope you are all well and happy.
Well nothing has slowed down here. In fact it is getting busier.
I have at least 7 weddings a week now and I am starting my Funeral Celebrants course.
Amazing how many people get married during the week.
I am booked out until July next year.
I am rarely home anymore.
I just purchased a few wishing wells to hire out to clients for their weddings.
I had a client take one to theirs and everyone just placed money into the well and then it was donated to charity afterwards.
I thought this was a great idea for a couple entering their second marriage and had two houses full of furniture.
If you dont want to donate you can just keep the cash that people have placed in the well and buy yourself a wedding gift or put it towards a honeymoon.
They look bigger than they are...They fit easily on the back seat of a car.
<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGgwVibRr1jIZorp9jE5gn_fyI-UqXP5RHMSH3ehMxSO_RQ0XIYWIlG0Vq_-dBg3Lde8FDndeU-NttLRteIMB9kPbDi4Wk9m4f8axuZU1n1iRCwC0-WRGPamEZUVODGAGlUflKD-0a-qJ-/s200/Whitesilverwell.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5329398691959234754" /> <img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 150px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBrZq2G0wwDRzjIDO0sMtDyxzzIsHAxKJh7T5rVWwjIBUpULGKdlM12WDRBN2IQTRs5rlwbJiL4B7pIvrGLk-DZRi6P6MDU-BMBMUrG1aXlJiKnp0YLoTfsR7a58YkPHzDAbqhk8lRyEKU/s200/wwhitebucket.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5329398841173672274" />

Well it is late here so I am heading off to bed. Wallabies are widely distributed across Australia, particularly in more remote, heavily timbered, or rugged areas.
Kangaroos are more widely found on the great semi-arid plains because they are larger, leaner, and more fleet-footed than Wallabies.

Hi everyone. I hope you all have had a wonderful Easter.
Everyone here is fine and kicking along well.

Sparky is having a wonderful time in an enclosure with all females at the Zoo.
The weather is cooling down and we are all hoping for rain and lots of it. The drought has got everyone down and we are all tired of brown grass although much better than the burnt foliage that is very prominent at the moment.

Cassie and Esch are fighting fit and Kirsten has turned 18 years old. She now has her drivers licence and has moved out of home.
It frightened me at first that she wanted to leave home so soon but I know she will be fine and she hasnt moved far.
My father has cancer and she moved in with him. Not because he needs anyone to assist him but because she wants to spend as much time as possible with him. They are and have always been inseperable.
I am hoping she will move back in time but I kow she wont. She is far too independant and self reliant. I am proud to have raised her to be able to stand on her own but the mothe rin me is slapping myself for it.
I do worry she is burning the candle not only at both ends but in the middle as well.
She is in her final year of school and we all know that is full of study during and after school as well as in your dreams, but she is also busy with her horses and riding lessons for children, she has 3 students she is teaching music to after school and on weekends and also a part time job at a hardware store of all places and then she has her music studies and the Youth Orchestra on top of it all.
I dont know how she does it but she is never contactable.
I didnt get to see her for Easter, and I never got to see her for her birthday. She had a "party" with her friends, organised all the details herself. I have spoken to her and she said she had a wonderful time with 2 of her closest friends when the others left.
She popped in briefly to collect her birthday present but I wasnt at home so she grabbed the gift and left me a note LOL. It has hurt a little as I wanted to give her a nice party but she is happy.
She is looking at buying herself a small 2 bedroom unit close to the stables. So I am hoping to at least help her out with that, if she will let us. Still no boyfriend and still not interested. Smart girl!!

So all my children are now considered adults.
This is the time for me apparently. But what am I going to do with this time.
I am single, available as always and still overly fussy.
My work is keeping me incredibly busy. I am surprised at how many people contact me in a week for wedding ceremonies. I am starting to turn people away because I have bookings now a year in advance.

A celebrant isnt a great way to meet other singles. Most weddings I am invited to attend the reception afterwards but have to refuse so I can move on to the next ceremony. By the end of the day a party is the last thing I want to be going to so I am home and beleive it or not usually in bed by 11.

I miss chatting with everyone on here so much and think of everyone often. I hope you are all happy and healthy.Ausgrlhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02783333557016310796noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4035203955048554330.post-78368331662486414172009-04-01T07:40:00.001-07:002009-04-01T07:57:48.775-07:00So BusyHi everyone, If anyone still reads this lol.
I have been so busy the last few weeks I am slowly building the wedding business and that keeps me on my toes.
After being in hospital from the hot oil burns to the arms I have had many things happening. I took Cassie and Esch for a drive to see how much damage there was out there from the fires and we found a very thin injured roo. So we collected him up in a blanket and bought him home with us, named him sparky as he had a lot of spark burns on his fur.
After taking him to the vet we spent the next week or so feeding and caring for him, Cassie had the unwelcome job of washing him.
Washing a roo isnt an easy task so after several attempts in the bathtub and under the house outside she decided the best way was to take him to the outside bathroom and put him in the shower and close the door.. Poor Sparky.
After Sparky upended the coffee table in the living room we decided it was better that he go to the Zoo before he caused injury to Esch or more damage to himself. He is on a special diet and in solitary confinement until he is strong enough to join the others and they have eliminated any diseases he may have.

I do miss him though it was kinda nice having a roo sleeping on the end of the bed in his little bag and bottle feeding was fun.
It wasnt until after he was picked up that we realised we hadnt taken any pics of him so once he is allowed out of solitary we hope to go visit and get some pics.

This week we held a memorial and funeral service for my Aunts and Uncles lost in the fires. It was nice to finally have closure.
Without going into detail all of their remains were not there so it was very hard to sit through the services and remain calm.

Well off to bed for me. But before I go Congratulations to Grandma AK and Grandpa Buns...Ausgrlhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02783333557016310796noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4035203955048554330.post-14248466996575137692009-02-16T16:19:00.001-08:002009-02-16T16:26:21.519-08:00In remembrance of the victims of the victorian bushfires<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 160px; height: 200px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOqZrLIJjQDWwcYVmhyphenhyphen1HrOZqKa0I9j3hbyzrGZhXuFUnIEGyVqlAO7f01-8tWwanh7Scoyjk6ZY3_cja44MDNTN_PiyK0801-sLkubNg8JbZLsp_0V54ftwoXcrBX-qlHZt2bgfYFEgRR/s200/yellowribbon.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5303554472310446146" />

We are trying to create a sea of yellow ribbons across the world in remembrance of the victims of the Victorian Bushfires.

So please copy the ribbon and put it on your blog in remembrance of the victims.

The count has started again 181 lives lost and expectations of over 300 in total.

Fires have also taken off in the Healsville area again with a gust of strong winds pushing them toward the Dandenong ranges. They both lost homes in Marysville and we are grateful they got out in time. Other relatives are staying at various family homes. We have spread them through as many homes as possible.
The fires have taken two towns as well as a lot of smaller towns that have only one or two homes there. Many bodies wont be found because the extreme heat has completely destroyed them.
We are waiting on other relatives to register on the safe lists however we have heard nothing after 4 days. Many cars were engulfed in fire as people were trying to escape and have not been accounted for. A lot went off track to drive around the fires but with 96km hour (60) mile winds temperatures up to 113 F and having been in drought for so long all the underbrush is dry not to mention that the Eucalypt is highly flammable so the Eucalypt trees just burn and the fires unpredictable jumping across roads in huge flames not in embers.

We have 35 still burning and towns under threat, lives still being lost.
We are all exhausted but are gathering together clothes and food hampers to send off to family's in the areas and firefighters.

I think most of victoria is in shock and have gone into overdrive to try and do something to help. Not that there is a lot.
We are now facing the problem of looters in the towns that are gone.
The person responsible for lightingthe fire will be charged with murder and reports indicate is close to being arrested. We can live in hope.

With all this however the fires are in time going to do the australian bush good. It self ignites over time to replenish. We have had a long drought and this will help generate new growth and take the strain off of the vegetation.

It will not help with the loss of wildlife and other animals.

We are hoping my Uncles and their families register sometime today or are found safe somewhere but it isnt lookng good for them.Ausgrlhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02783333557016310796noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4035203955048554330.post-54009068224494797432009-02-08T08:11:00.000-08:002009-02-08T19:01:18.870-08:00Graunty Mandy<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiU_WB2cfMW6j7fVk-44NM5TnqdPFZUoQV6TOW28lw_Rb0bCUxCJlG1QS3MwDFkU9DUeUqhpuBpTitW72lXomCCwHSCy8l9oZCaQOjwaae-Pt5nIhWux0GE6cd94bK3XxEhIh1S2RoGze0N/s200/Blaze.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5300625924981939682" />
51.5cm (20.28inches) long 4.1 kilogrames (9.61 lb) and 35cm (13.78)head circum.
